The 5th Standard

The Fifth Standard

Now, we arrived in a new standard, a new atmosphere, everyone thinking of us to be matured and ready to take on life's challenges!
We were assigned a new teacher who had just joined the school, a Gujarati mam, who only understood Gujarati but what she didn't know is that she understood us too.

The New Madam

Okay, the new teacher's name was 'Chanda Dave'. We were assigned her class, she taught us Gujarati, trying to get us fluent in our regional language, trying extremely hard to fit in with the other teachers. She was an angel in human form, the most politest and caring teacher we've ever had till date. She even scolded us but in a a motherly way, which made us what we are now, improving and nurturing. The regular Gujarati periods were a joy to be in, laughing, chittering, throwing paper planes, getting scolded for it, laughing again. We were allowed to be adult young 'uns in her period.

A Lot To Give

She was the one who gave us a whole lot of stuff to think about, brainstorm around and present with ideas we'll be thinking in all our Engineering Colleges and Medical ones too! We found out her birthdate and threw her a surprise party by decorating our class by staying in late and when the next day arrived, she was surprised and had tears of joy in her eyes, the happiest moment of my life! ^_^
When we passed the 5th standard, we came to know that, Chanda Mam was leaving so we threw her a farewell party and that was when I found my second mother when she referred to us by saying, "I Love You my children!"

Let The 3rd Standard Begin

The New Teacher (Cont. :P)

My bestie had now drifted away, we hardly saw each other, talked even less. I was a smart and the 'Good Guy' so I made new friends quite quick! I started hanging out with my new buddies, eating the tasty Nashta of the Kitchen, our heaven on Earth! (Gotta change the topic now, Nostalgic powers doing their evil job! xD)

Soon, we started hearing talks about a proxy teacher who was phenomenally gifted! Helpful, Funny, Intelligent, the perfect teacher!

The First Encounter

Now, our class teacher had ran out of chalks, so she sent me to get some from the class beside ours. I was more than happy to go out of the class, have a short walk in the open, wind blowing in my ears, I walk in the class beside mine.

I asked the mam's permission to enter the class and went in after a gentle "Ha Aa Jaie". It was the PROXY TEACHER! I got on with my job and asked the mam for the chalks and her reply was "Jee Jaroor, Le Jaie" with a kind smile! Nobody had ever referred to me as 'Jee' ever before. I took the chalks and left quickly! I was in the 7th heaven! I was treated as an adult, respected. That's all a person could ever need!

The Next Standard

We finally passed the 3rd standard and I was delighted because I was assigned to Neelam Mam's class. She was one of the best teacher I have ever had till date. She was a delight to be around, she made us laugh, taught us stuff nobody ever bothered to teach us, like 'Manners', 'Eticates', 'The Proper Way To Talk'. She told us that girls aren't evil, they are the angels who will always be by your side whenever you are feeling down, depressed. (Of Course, we didn't even understand what she was saying at that time, but we've now all grown up haven't we? ^_^).

Following her advises, I excelled at everything, manners, politeness, studies, etc. and at the end, I managed to pass the standard with 92% which were quite low at the time!

My Early Life

Pre 2nd Standard

I was a sweet little plump kid who used to come to the school with his only friend at the moment, holding hands, jumping around, thinking I'd be the one to be forever happy.

Kindergarten was fun, no worries, no deadlines, no projects, nothing to do, just hangout with my bestie 'Chitra Mande'. Just chillin' on the See-Saw, Slide and the great SANDPIT! :D
FUN TIMES, right? They sure were until they lasted.

Here Comes 2nd Standard

Suddenly, everything went KABOOM! We were introduced to new rules:
1. Talking with girls is Taboo (We were told that they brought bad luck >_<)
2. You should study really hard from now on (Come on seriously? We were in the 2nd standard!)
3. You can only have a friends' group with boys!

So, finally it happened, me and my bestie's classes were separated. We hardly met and we started growing apart.

The New Teacher

Soon after we got past the great 2nd standard, a new teacher came in our lives, who was going to turn our world topsy turvy! Her name was Neelam Mam, our class teacher of 4th standard.
